Paris Mon Amour
Oh Paris…. you wonderful city. You cast a spell over me. In the last nine month I visited you two times and I am willing to come back soon 🙂
What I really love about Paris is the flair it spreads everywhere. There’s beauty in every corner. Cute cafes with beautiful pastries, breathtaking architecture and stylish people. I had a moment of happiness when I saw a well dressed woman walking along with her red handbag and the perfect fitting red high heels in the perfect scenery. I can’t really explain what it was, but I was just happy 🙂
Of course you’ll visit all the amazing sights when you come to Paris. Especially when it’s your first time there. I mean the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Arche de Triumph and of course the Eiffel Tower are stunning buildings, you have to see with your own eyes.
I would really recommend to climb up the Arche de Triumph. You’ll get an amazing view over Paris and can burn the calories you got from the tasty pastries 😉
If you want to go into Notre Dame, which is for free btw, you should do it in the early hours. You won’t have long lines and wait times. You can also climb up the towers there.
For the best view at the Eiffel Tower you have to go to the Trocadero. The Trocadero itself is another amazing building, which you find many in Paris. And the view at the Eiffel Tower is the best 😉
The best and also most expensive addresses for shopping are Galeries Lafayette and of course the Champs Élysées. You should go there and you will know why Paris is the capital of fashion 😀
Walking through side streets, the Arrondissements and the parks
But Paris is not only about the hotspots I mentioned. Paris is the perfect city to stroll around. You will find something beautiful everywhere. So don’t hesitate to walk in side streets, you’ll be rewarded 😉
The perfect thing to do in spring or in summer is to walk through the beautiful parks. Jardin du Luxembourg, Jardin des Tuileries or Jardin du Palais Royal are just a few addresses to name. These are perfect places to hang out and enjoy life 🙂
There are also so many opportunities to shop. In my hometown there’s the city centre where you can do shopping, but in Paris you can do it around every corner. Small shops and even designer stores are in streets you won’t expect them to be. Like the Chanel boutique I discovered in the 4th Arrondissement 😉
Disneyland – the place to be a child again
Another great thing about Paris is that you have Disneyland nearby 🙂 I really love Disney and all about it. So of course I had to visit Disneyland 🙂 You feel like your in a Disney-movie. Standing in front of the castle, hearing music, that could be right out of a Disney-movie and wave to Mickey is just the perfect moment for every Disneyfan. If you want to drive with the popular attractions you have to schedule some time standing in line. But for some rides it’s worth the wait. My favorites are Tower of Terror, the Mad Hatter’s Tea Cups and It’s a small world. You should definitely check them out 😉
Where to stay
The two times I visited Paris, I stood at the Hotel Le Lapin Blanc. It’s a cute little Hotel near Notre Dame and Jardin du Luxembourg. The whole Hotel is designed in the theme of Alice in Wonderland with a very modern touch. Every floor is in another color. I preferred the pink of course 😉 The staff there is very kind and if you have any question the front desk is always there for you.
